Marinara Sauce

4 garlis cloves, minced
1 onion chopped
2 to 3 Tablespoons of olive oil
1 28-oz can crushed tomatoes-salt free
2 bay leaves
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Red pepper
Black pepper

In a skillet saute garlic and onion in olive oil until soft. Add crushed tomatoes, bay leaves, basil, and oregano. Add peppers to taste. Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring often.

If you want to add a little bit more flavor to this recipe without adding a lot of sodium try adding a bit of Smart Salt (http://smartsalt.com) to it instead of salt. Smart Salt has excellent flavor like salt, 50% less sodium and you can cook with it.
