Breakfast Apple Bake

3 T butter
4 large apples, peld and sliced
6 eggs
1-1/2 cups milk
1 cup flour
3 T granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
3 T packed brown sugar

Melt butter in 13 x 9-inch baking dish or 12-inch fluted porcelain quiche dish in 425F oven, for about 3 minutes, swirl to distribute. Arrange apples in single layer in butter, bake until butter is sizzling but not browned, about 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, in blender or bowl, beat eggs, milk, flour, granulated sugar, vanilla, salt and half of the cinnamon, pour over apples. Sprinkle with brown sugar and remaining cinnamon. Bake for 20 minutes or until puffed and golden. Serve immediately.
