Monkey Cake
350 40 Minutes
Bundt Pan geased well
1 4 pack Ballard Biscuits, Sure any 4 pack buscuits. These are normal ones no fluff jobs or grands
1 cup sugar
5 Tablespoons cinnamon
Sauce: combine together over low heat
2 sticks butter, melted
1 cup sugar
4 Tablespoons cinnamon
Cut 2 packs (10 buscuits each in quaters, a little at a time) Place into a bag, plastic or paper. Paper is best, with the 1 cup of sugar & 5 Tablespoons of cinnamon. Shake well. Put into the bundt pan. After you do this to 2 packs of biscuits which will give you 80 pieces. Spoon over 1/2 of the hot sauce you made. Repeat with 2 other packs of buscuits topping with sauce.
Cool in pan for 10-15 minutes turn out onto plate and eat while warm.
This really needs to be eaten warm.
There are so many variations on this cake. The most I do is add raisins. I soak my raisins first just layer them in the layers. Or you can do that with chocolate chips. This recipe has been around forever. It is so good whoever came up with this one. Ok we/me top it with butter that melts and is gooey with the sauce. MMMMM.
