Cherry Cake

Cherry Cake

Cream together:
1/2 pound margarine
1 1/2 sugar

Add to above mixture one at a time
4 eggs

then add:
1 tablespoon of vanilla

add
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
dash salt

In 9 x 13 pan greassed.
Pour 3/4 of batter into pan.

Spread onto batter pie filling (you can use any kind of pie filling)
then you will need
1 can cherry pie illing mixed iwth 1 teaspoon of vanilla or almond extract and set aside

then top with rest of batter.

Bake 40-45 minutes at 350

If using apple pie filling I would sprinkle on some sugar cinnamon on the cake before baking, and after it comes out when it is cold.
