Delicious Turtle Cake

Ingredients:

1 package German Chocolate cake mix
3 eggs
1/4 cup oil
1/2 cup water
14-oz bag caramels
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 can (7-oz) Eagle Brand
Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

In large mixing bowl, combine cake mix with eggs, oil and water. Beat on low speed with an electric mixer until well mixed, then on high speed for two full minutes.

Pour half of batter into a greased and floured 13 x 9-inch cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

While cake is baking, combine remaining ingredients ( but NOT the remaining cake batter) in top of a double-boiler and melt.

Cool mixture slightly and pour over the baked portion of cake, reserving 1 cup. Pour the remaining cake batter over caramel layer.

Drizzle with remaining 1 cup caramel mxture. Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees or until cake test done.
