POTATO CASSEROLE

2 24 ounce packages frozen hash browns, cut in pieces

2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 onion -- chopped
2 tablespoons butter
1 pint sour cream
1 pound mild cheddar cheese -- cubed
crushed corn flakes
Saute onions in butter. Combine with partially thawed hash browns. Add the rest of ingredients except cheese and corn flakes. Put in 9 x 13 inch pan. Scatter cubes of cheese throughout.
Top with crushed cornflakes.
Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees
