Barbecue beef in the crock pot

Ingredients:
3 pounds beef chuck roast or beef bottom round, trimmed of fat
1 cup beef broth
1 cup onions, chopped
1 cup chili sauce
1 cup ketchup
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
3 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
2 tsp. dry mustard powder
1 tsp. ground allspice
12 kaiser rolls, cut in half

Directions:
Place beef roast in the crock pot or slow cooker. Add beef and onions; cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours. When beef is cooked, remove from crock pot with all but 2 cups of liquid. In crock pot, mix together remaining ingredients, except rolls, whisking until smooth. Slice or shred beef and return to crockpot with sauce. Toss with slotted spoon to mix well. Cover and cook on HIGH for 60 to 90 minutes until bubbly hot. Serve on kaiser rolls. Yield: 12 sandwiches
