Easy Layered Dessert 3-10-12

Easy Layered Dessert 3-10-12

My boyfriend Kevin and 4 of his friends left for a 3 day kayak trip on Sunday. Saturday, Kevin and all of the boys, plus my friend Jorie and 2 other people that go to school with one of Kevin's friends, came over for dinner and to spend the night before the trip, so I was cooking for an army. I love cooking for people (as long as they enjoy my food!) and I wanted to make a tasty dessert, even though Kevin isn't a big dessert eater. When I finished making it, Kevin said "I can't believe you made that much dessert, that's huge!" I told him, "Just because you don't like it doesn't mean other people don't!" By the next morning there was not a SINGLE bite left!!!

Ingredients: 2 c. cold milk; 1 pkg (4 serving size) Jello instant chocolate pudding; 1 pkg prepared pound cake, cut into 1/2" cubes; 1/2 c. chocolate syrup; 1 tub (8oz) Cool Whip, thawed, divided.

Directions: Prepare pound cake according to pkg directions. Pour milk into bowl, add dry pudding mix. Beat w/ wire whisk 2 mins or until well-blended. Arrange 1/2 of the cake cubes in a 3 quart serving bowl. Drizzle w/ 1/4c. chocolate syrup. Layer with 1 c. of the pudding & 1 1/2 c. of whipped topping. Repeat layers ending with whipped topping. Refrigerate.

SO GOOD!!!!
