What is Fat-Free cooking and why try it?

How can I say this::::: I love to Cook !!! At first, it was just a means to an end, family is hungry then fix dinner. I found by doing this my family was growing and not in a good way. Matt, my husband of 4 years, was the one who was impacted the most. I would try new food and he would gobble it up and love it. There was one little flaw, Matt cannot eat they way that most of us eat. He can't have red meat and he has to be very careful about his intake of yeast, due to Gout... The recipes that I have found that worked the best for us was the ones that used chicken or ground turkey as the meat staple and I prepare sauces in different ways to add flavor. I also like to use marinades to give additional flavor to the meat prior to cooking. This journey began 2 years ago but today we are still at it. a whooping 100 lbs lighter, Matthew is much healthier and we live more active lives with a lot more energy than we did. The whole family is involved now, our boys think that it is fun to try new things and I get the pleasure of doing what I love with out the guilt of hurting our family. I will keep posting and making new recipes and sharing some of our favorites.
