Shrimp Curry
Ingredients
- Shrimps: 2 cups (washed, shell removed & deveined)
- Onion: 1 medium size, thinly sliced
- Tomato Puree: 1 tbsp
- Mustard Seed: 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric Powder: 1/4 tsp
- Red Chili Powder: 1-2 tsp (based on your taste)
- Coriander Power: 1 tbsp
- Coconut Powder: 3 tbsp
- Ginger and Garlic Paste: 1 tbsp
- Cumin Powder: 1 tsp
- Vegetable cooking oil: 2-3 tbsp
- Coriander leaves: For garnishing
- Salt: to taste
MethodÂ
- Heat oil in a pan
- Add mustard seeds, let them splutter
- Add sliced onion, fry till golden brown
- Add ginger and garlic paste & fry well.
- Add tomato puree, cook till it starts leaving oil (approximately 3-4 mins)
- Now add red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, fry well
- Add shrimps, cook on medium heat till it’s well done
- Take 3 cups of warm water in a cup & add coconut powder to it, mix well to prepare coconut milk
- Add coconut milk to the shrimps masala.
- Add salt to taste & cover & cook it for 5 mins on medium flame
- Remove and garnish with coriander leaves.
