TACO SOUP

Taco Soup

1 lb. ground beef
1/2 medium onion, diced
1 (8oz)can tomato sauce
1 (14-15oz) can diced tomatoes(petite or regular)
2 lrg. beef bouillon cubes (or 4 cups of beef broth)
1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 can whole kernel corn, drained
1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. cumin
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
1/2 tsp. salt
Advertisement:

1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Water (5 to 6 cups if using bouillon)

Garnishes for each serving: grated colby/jack cheese, sour cream, fresh chopped cilantro, a squeeze of lime, salsa/pico de gallo, flour tortilla wedges or tortilla chips.

Brown ground beef just until no longer pink, if desired, season with salt and pepper while browning. Drain and add meat to crock pot or slow cooker. Add all remaining ingredients except garnish choices..when you add your liquids, add 5 to 6 cups water if using bouillon and 1 to 2 cups water if using broth..more or less depending on how thick or thin you like your soup. Cook on Low setting for 8 to 10 hours. Top each serving with your choice of garnish. Enjoy!!
