Okay, so I guess my first blog should probably tell you a little bit more about me, so you know, you kind of get to know me a little better. I am a 24 year old, divorcee. Yep, that's right 24 and divorced...but don't let that age thing get to you. I may be 24 but I've experienced more in my 24 years, than most people do in their entire lives, and I mean rough stuff. I've been to hell and back several times, but I'm still here fighting. So don't think that because I'm 24 I'm just some young naive idiot. icon_razz

Now, the vegetarian thing must be discussed, I'll try to cover all the usual questions I get when people learn I'm a vegetarian. First of all, I'm not a crazy animal rights activist (although, I do not what-so-ever think it's okay to hurt animals). I just do not like the taste of meat. I grew up eating meat, my mother forced me. So please don't say "but you have no idea what you're missing." Trust me, I know EXACTLY what I'm missing. I don't mind cooking meat, as my boyfriend is a meat and potatoes kind of guy. Since everyone ask what I will or will not eat- I don't eat seafood. Never have, never will. In my opinion it is that nastiest of all the foods...lol, which is great considering I now live on the coast...people look at me like I'm an alien when they learn that fact. In fact, I don't even like to be in the presence of seafood, the smell makes me gag. icon_sad Unfortunatley for me, my boyfriend LOVES seafood. So, I get a wonderful learning opportunity through him, but have to control that gag reflex. icon_smile I don't eat stuff that's flavored wiht meat either, if I can taste meat, I'm not interested.I do however eat animal products, such as milk and cheese. I love Southern Food, which I realize sounds like an oxymoron coming from a vegetarian, but just wait for some of my recipes, you'll see...I enjoy "stick to the ribs" kind of food, but also enjoy some lighter fare too. I'm not a health nut...so not a big tofu fan, you wouldn't see any (extremely) weird food from me.

Okay, about the boyfriend. His name is Joel, he's 42, and we are approaching our two year anniversary. For those of you who can do math, that means he's, yep 18 years older than me. But you know, I use to think it would really complicate things in our lives, but it never has. Probably actually helped them a lot, he's in relatively the same place in his life that I am, so it works out like magic. We work together, and are currently moving in together. We're also in the processes of renovating the house. So as it's completed we'll post pictures.

Now, work. I currently work at a car electronics shop. We install everything from tracking devices, to navigation, to videos, to power locks & window, to alarms and remote starts....How'd I get into that, well...I answered an ad in the paper for a family owned business looking for office help, and well...the rest is history. I started as the shipping clerk, and have ended up handling payroll, inventory, ordering, repairs, warranties, and sales, and anything else that might pop up....oh and I work with 15 men, no women...so creates an interesting work environment. So I'm one of the guys, yet have a very girlie side.

It's not unusal to see me dry walling, or painting, while doing laundry and cooking dinner and fitting in schoolwork and reading (another love of mine, which you'll get to hear a lot about hear.) So, you never know what I may be up to...so stay tuned and enjoy the ride icon_exclaim
