Jack Daniels Cake

1 pkg. Yellow cake mix
1 pkg. Instant French Vanilla pudding mix
5 eggs, slightly beaten
½ cup milk
½ cup Jack Daniels Whiskey
1-1/2 sticks of margarine, softened
16-oz. pkg. Butterscotch morsels, divided
1 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped

Mix cake mix and pudding together. Add eggs, milk, Jack Daniels, and margarine. Beat long and hard by hand. Reserve ½ cup of each butterscotch morsels and nuts. Fold remaining nuts and morsels into batter.

Pour batter unto prepared 13x9x2 inch or two loaf pans. Sprinkle reserved morsels and nuts over batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes. Freezes well.
I find it works best to line bottom of pans with wax paper. The original recipe called for black walnuts but they are kind of hard to find and very expensive.
