Stuffed Shells

Jumbo Stuffed Shells

1/2 lb hamburger (I actually cooked 1 lb of hamburger and froze the other half to add to spaghetti later)
3 T chopped mushrooms
2 t chopped onion
little bit of minced garlic (I used the minced kind you buy in a bottle because I was out of garlic cloves)
1/2 box of jumbo shells
1/4 package of cream cheese
1/4 c cottage cheese
1/4 c shredded mozzarella cheese (plus a little extra for the top at the end)
Advertisement:

1/8 c parmesan cheese (I just used the grated stuff in the jar, but freshly grated would be have been better)
1/2 jar of spaghetti sauce

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Cook hamburger with onions, mushrooms, and garlic until done. Drain off grease and let cool.
3. Boil the shells (I cooked them al dente)
4. Mix all 4 cheeses together. Once mixed, add in the hamburger mixture. Mix it together well.
5. Stuff the hamburger cheese mix into the shells and place them into a 9 x 9 pan (I lined mine with foil so it would be a much easier clean up)
6. Pour the spaghetti sauce over the shells. Sprinkle some mozzarella cheese on top.
7. Cover with foil and and bake for 50 minutes. Uncover then bake for 5 more minutes so the cheese on top can brown.

Serves 3-4
