This was given to me by a friend, Her name is Dee, she enjoys decorating and
design just like we do. Thank you so much Dee for this elegant idea!!!
I have as most people do, a large chandelier over my dining room table. At holiday time, I make a huge bow that sits on top of the chandelier, made of wired wide ribbon usually silver or gold with six "tails" or the number of dinner guests that will be seated. The tails gently descend right down to each dinner plate. Attached to each ribbon tail is a small gift that sits on the plate decorated and wrap in the same color thyme. I always tuck in some white silk roses to compliment the top of the chandelier and if you spray them slightly with hair spray and sprinkle a bit of silver glitter...everything sparkles and seems more magical.
The gifts are usually a small box of godiva chocolate or some small thing that's whimsical.
