Mom, Thank you for making this always & finding this recipe. This recipe has been in our files FOREVER. She found this on some recipe card when I was a kid. Trust me use the sour cream. That is the original recipe. There is so much sugar in the coconut and marshmallows and fruit. You will have no clue there is sour cream in this recipe. It is best made day ahead to sit and meld together. My adopted sister Anna could eat bowl full’s of this. Not that she did but this was one of her favorites as well. We always had this on stand by for her.

This is many things. Light dessert, or a light lunch with Italian lunch meat and anti-pasta. This is great for a brunch. You can add and change what you wish. That is what is great about cooking, you can adjust to what you want or need for your meal. I think fresh figs would be awesome in this as well. I would not add more then a few things then you have major fruit salad. Keep this simple. I would do figs with melon. Do just melons, or mango and papaya. Not everything at once.
