Uta Nagel runs a bed & breakfast on Saltspring Island. There's no rolling or cutting required for these tender, moist rustic scones. On The Food Network my latest discovery is to grate the hardened butter into the dry ingredients.....so much easier!!!!!!

Apple Stuffed French Toast for 2

Use an unsliced loaf and cut thick slices into which you can create a pocket for the filling. I make this French toast with different fruits such as peaches, strawberries, blueberrie...I suppose you could use whatever is in season and just alternate the seasonings in the fulling to suit.
