2 c. uncooked reg. noodles
1 can (about 1 lb.) tomatoes
2 c. shredded cabbage
1 c. sliced pared raw carrots
1 can (10 3/4 oz.) cr. of mushroom soup
1 c. water
1 t. instant minced onion
1/2 t. salt
Brown ground beef, breaking up into
small chunks. Spoon into a 8 c. baking
dish. Stir in remaining ingredients; cover.
Bake at 350 40 min. or until noodles
and vegetables are tender. makes 6

Gooey Tuna Dogs
(makes 2 servings)
1 2-ounce (60 g) can water-packed tuna, drained
1 tablespoon (15 ml) dill pickle relish
2 scallions, white part only, chopped
2 tablespoons (30 g) shredded reduced-fat Cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon (15 ml) reduced-fat mayonnaise
2 hot dog buns
In a small bowl, flake tuna with a fork. Stir in dill pickle
relish, scallion, cheese, and mayonnaise. Partially open hot
dog buns and fill each with half of the tuna mixture.
Wrap each filled bun with microwave-sa

1 med red bell pepper, seeded and coarsely chopped
One 15-16 oz can crushed tomatoes with their juice
1 1/2 cups water
2 tsp chilli powder
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
3/4 cup short grain brown rice
1 TB chopped jalapeno: en escabeche, nacho-style or fresh
1 lb Santa Fe style sausage or any other fully cooked spicy sausage diced
Combine all the ingredients in the med round slow cooker and
stir to evenly distribute. Cover and cook on low for 8-9

could eat fried rice all day long (especially shrimp fried rice). I had
never used oyster or fish sauce until I made this recipe the first time.
I had made other fried rice dishes without the sauces - believe me, this
recipe is FAR superior! Also, don't overbeat your eggs, when you overbeat
them they get chewy - it's a common misconception that eggs have to be
beaten until completely smooth.

This recipe doesn't sound like much - but the 2 tbsp of horseradish really
give it a great kick and make it a really nummy dip/spread.
11 oz. cream cheese
1 T. lemon juice
1 T. grated onion
1 t. Worcestershire sauce
2 T. mayonnaise
6 oz. chili sauce
2 T. horseradish
1/2 pound lump crab meat

Let cream cheese come to room temperature. Mix in lemon juice, onion,
Worcestershire and mayonnaise. Spread in a 9" glass pie pan. Cover with chili sauce

1/4 cup margarine
1/2 t. seasoned salt
Preheat oven to 450. Place flounder on greased cookie sheet. Pour lemon juice
over fish. Combine rest of ingredients and set aside. Bake fish for 6 to 8
minutes until fish flakes with a fork. Remove form oven. Spread cheese mixture
on top of fish. Put back in the oven and broil until cheese has melted and top
is light brown. Serves 4 to
