Visiting my mil with my dh's older brother & his family and my dh's young brother. We spent the 3rd picking cherries, mostly Bing but some Queen Anne's too. We picked almost 50 pounds. My dh and his younger brother pitted the cherries. I was quite happy for them to do such a tedious task. My sil and I spent most of the 4th making delcious things with the cherries. We made "Drunken Cherries", two types of cherry jam, "Black Forest Macaroon Conserve", cherry leather, and dried cherries. Yummy!

I'm excited about being able to share my thoughts on food and life. There is so much confusing info about what we should and shouldn't eat. I'll let you know what works and doesn't work for me and put up some of my favorite recipes.
